Job Description:
Senior Instructional Designer with 5–10+ years of experience designing, building, and scaling high-impact learning solutions across global, matrixed organizations. Demonstrates expertise in translating design strategies and proposals into accessible, learner-centric assets for virtual instructor-led, instructor-led, and eLearning programs using tools such as PowerPoint, Articulate (Rise, and Storyline), and other media-based tools such as Vyond.
You have a proven ability to analyze learner needs, define measurable learning objectives, and develop engaging lesson plans, assessments, and multimedia content aligned with adult learning principles, short-form skilling strategies, and Microsoft accessibility and content quality standards. Recognized for strong stakeholder partnership, ability to accurately estimate projects, execute in agile, and effectively use AI-enabled tools to accelerate content development, iteration, and continuous improvement at scale.
Job Title: Senior Learning Instructional Designer
Your Responsibilities
· Designs and builds learning assets in alignment with approved design documents, proposals, and program strategies, partnering closely with project managers to ensure execution fidelity.
· Develops high-quality learning materials for VILT, ILT, and eLearning experiences, including PowerPoint decks and Rise/Storyline modules, grounded in adult learning best practices.
· Ensures all learning content meets Microsoft accessibility requirements and content quality standards.
· Conducts learner and needs analysis, defines measurable learning objectives, and designs end-to-end training plans.
· Selects and applies instructional strategies and modalities to maximize knowledge retention, transfer, and on-the-job application.
· Creates structured lesson plans, learning activities, and assessments aligned to audience needs, learning styles, and desired outcomes.
· Leverages Copilot agents, AI-enabled templates, and content innovation tools to accelerate development, iteration, and scalability.
· Designs engaging learning experiences, incorporating short-form skilling strategies where appropriate.
· Provides learner-centric design recommendations to stakeholders, balancing instructional effectiveness with business objectives.
· Owns the design and build lifecycle for all in-scope materials, including iterative revisions based on feedback.
· Scripts, crafts, and edits instructional videos and multimedia assets as needed.
Core Experience Requirements
· Brings 5–10 years of experience as a Senior Instructional Designer delivering high-quality learning solutions.
· C2-level English proficiency (CEFR), with the ability to communicate fluently and precisely in professional settings, including writing clear instructional content, collaborating with global stakeholders, and participating confidently in meetings and reviews.
· Possesses a diverse instructional design background, with strengths across audio, video, and eLearning development, including hands-on experience with Rise and/or Storyline.
· Demonstrates the ability to quickly adopt new technologies and third-party engagement tools, including LMS and MOOC platforms and tools such as Second Nature, Synthesia, Arist, or similar.
· Makes learner-centered design recommendations aligned with defined learning objectives and desired outcomes.
· Has experience working effectively across matrixed, cross-functional teams and collaborating with multiple stakeholders.
· Thrives in agile environments, rapidly onboarding to new projects and adapting to changing priorities.
· Significant experience in implementing capabilities using Articulate (Rise and Storyline), Synthesia, and other complimentary media tools such as Vyond.
Location
100% remote or satellite office based (Mexico, Colombia, Brazil, Philippines).
