Instructional Designer with 3–6 years of experience supporting the design, development, and delivery of high-quality learning solutions within global, matrixed organizations. Demonstrates hands-on experience translating design strategies and content requirements into accessible, learner-centric assets for virtual instructor-led, instructor-led, and eLearning programs using tools such as PowerPoint, Articulate (Rise and Storyline), and media-based tools like Vyond.
Brings a strong foundation in learner and needs analysis, learning objective development, and creation of engaging lesson plans, assessments, and multimedia content aligned with adult learning principles, short-form skilling strategies, and Microsoft accessibility and content quality standards. Recognized for effective collaboration with stakeholders, ability to estimate and manage tasks accurately, execute work within agile environments, and leverage AI-enabled tools to support efficient content development, iteration, and continuous improvement.
Job Title: Learning Instructional Designer
Your Responsibilities
- Designs and builds learning assets based on approved design documents, content outlines, and program strategies, collaborating with project managers to support successful delivery.
- Develops high-quality learning materials for VILT, ILT, and eLearning experiences, including PowerPoint decks and Rise/Storyline modules, applying adult learning best practices.
- Ensures learning content adheres to Microsoft accessibility guidelines and established content quality standards.
- Supports learner and needs analysis activities, contributes to defining learning objectives, and assists in the development of training plans.
- Applies appropriate instructional strategies and learning modalities to support knowledge retention and on-the-job application.
- Creates structured lesson plans, learning activities, and assessments aligned with audience needs and learning objectives.
- Uses Copilot agents, AI-enabled templates, and content tools provided by the content innovation team to support efficient development and iteration.
- Designs engaging learning experiences, incorporating short-form skilling approaches where applicable.
- Collaborates with stakeholders to incorporate learner-focused design recommendations aligned with desired outcomes.
- Supports the full design and build lifecycle of learning materials, including revisions and updates based on feedback.
- Assists with scripting, editing, and updating instructional videos and multimedia learning assets as needed.
Core Experience Requirements
- Brings 3–6 years of experience as an Instructional Designer supporting the delivery of high-quality learning solutions.
- B2–C1 English proficiency (CEFR), with the ability to communicate clearly and effectively in professional contexts, including writing instructional content, participating in meetings, and collaborating with global teams.
- Possesses a well-rounded instructional design background, with hands-on experience across audio, video, and eLearning development, including use of Rise and/or Storyline.
- Demonstrates the ability to quickly learn and adopt new technologies and third-party engagement tools, including LMS and MOOC platforms and tools such as Second Nature, Synthesia, Arist, or similar.
- Applies learner-centered design principles to support alignment between learning objectives and desired outcomes.
- Has experience collaborating across matrixed, cross-functional teams and working with multiple stakeholders.
- Comfortable working in agile environments, onboarding quickly to new projects and adapting to shifting priorities.
- Practical experience developing learning content using Articulate (Rise and Storyline), Synthesia, and complementary media tools such as Vyond.
