About the Role

We’re hiring a Mid-Level Developer – Quality Engineering to help drive quality and automation across a modern digital media platform.

This is a hands-on role for someone who thinks like a developer but is deeply focused on quality. You’ll work across content publishing, personalization, and media delivery systems building automation frameworks, improving test coverage, and embedding quality into every stage of the development lifecycle.

What You’ll Own

• Partner with Product, Engineering, and Editorial teams to define and evolve QA strategy
• Build and maintain scalable, reusable test automation frameworks
• Ensure strong test coverage across content ingestion, publishing, personalization, and engagement workflows
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support fast, reliable releases
• Promote shift-left testing, observability, and testability best practices
• Analyze test results and production data to identify gaps and drive continuous improvement
• Mentor teams on automation approaches and increase shared ownership of quality

What We’re Looking For

• 2+ years of experience in software development and/or quality engineering
• Strong coding skills in at least one language (JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, Golang, or Ruby)
• Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, JUnit, etc.)
• Experience integrating tests into CI/CD pipelines (e.g., GitHub Actions)
• Familiarity with cloud environments (preferably GCP)
• Experience working in Agile environments with cross-functional teams
• Strong communication skills and ability to operate in a client-facing consulting model

Nice to Have

• Experience with mobile testing frameworks (Appium, Espresso, XCUITest)
• Exposure to high-traffic, high-availability systems
• Experience in media, content platforms, or personalization systems
